Leasing Manager
The Leasing Manager, under the direct supervision of the Property Manager, is responsible for all activities related to apartment rentals, lease renewals, including generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, preparing lease documentation and completing move-in procedures in accordance with the company’s and the community’s established policies and procedures. Leasing Managers provide high quality resident service and ensure that all marketing assistants are doing the same.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by the supervisory personnel.
- Responsible for the direct supervision of all Marketing Assistants to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and providing assistance where necessary.
- Responsible for assisting the Property Manager in gathering and compiling current market and economic information and preparing competitive and market analysis and market trends.
- Responsible for greeting all residents and future residents in a courteous and professional manner.
- Responsible for facilitating all aspects of the leasing process including showing “ready” units, closing the lease, qualifying prospects, completing all related paperwork and activities to ensure a timely move-in.
- Responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.
- Responsible for making bi-weekly schedules for all Marketing Assistants and ensuring that the schedule fits within the allot hours given per week.
- Responsible for making sure that Marketing assistants are following the proper lead tracking procedures.
- Responsible for planning and executing all Marketing.
- Responsible for planning and executing community events/parties for residents.
- Responsible for preparing all daily leasing reports.
- Responsible for keeping track of market trends and through outreach and market surveys.
- Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies.
- Responsible for all social media platforms
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or equivalent experience and at least one year experience in apartment marketing and leasing.
- 1-3 years leasing experience.
- Strong customer service background and skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with YARDI a plus
- A positive, upbeat attitude.
